How Your Face Determines Your Personality

How Your Face Determines Your Personality

The nose is the prominent part of the face. Aside being at the center of a human’s profile, it is only the protruding part of the face. This is the second feature of our facial structure we notice when we meet someone. Among the existing cosmetic surgeries offered today, both men and women ties up in the nose job category. Noselift surgery in the Philippines is not an old practice since the first residency-training program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery launched in the late 1970s.

Nose augmentation is not for aesthetic purpose only. Did you know you could perform an initial assessment of a person’s personality by scrutinizing their face? The face is a sort of a preview if someone is trustworthy or not. Along this line of thinking, every size and shape of the nose represent a particular type of personality.

This is the science of physiognomy or face reading practiced since the 18th and 19th century developed to catch criminals. A round face is sensitive and caring. A sloped forehead oozes with creativity. Medium-sized eyes possessed balanced intelligence. A big nose has violent tendencies. We can’t guarantee the accuracy of these findings though. What we can attest is this is widely practiced in the area of criminology, particularly in facial criminal recognition.

The ability to judge someone by their facial features could be one of the reasons people are tempted to go under the knife and the mercy of a surgeon. A cosmetic surgery operation will not just boost someone’s self-esteem, but others believe it is dependent on their personality.

Whether the purpose of the surgery is to improve a person’s physical appearance or to save a life, keep in mind that it has varying complications. One of the precautions is to run first a thorough background check on the cosmetic surgeon that will perform the operation.

A bad nose job could have one or more complication(s) as indicated below:

  • Infection
  • Bleeding or hematoma
  • Nasal septal perforation or a hole in the septum
  • Numbness
  • A need for revision surgery

It could also block the air passage from and to the lungs. Another complication of a poor nose lift is it could change your voice. Based on the recent study conducted in Iran where they examined 22 women and five men underwent nose jobs and noted changes in their voice.

Before lying in the surgical table, you should discuss with your surgeon if your voice may be affected after the surgery. This is quite critical for individuals who use voice in their work such as singers, news anchors or disc jockeys. A risk everyone should reconsider because even if you changed your appearance you can’t really conceal your true identity or personality. The inner beauty still matters.
